    My specs for the moment,
    AMD A8-7410 APU
    AMD Radeon R5 M430 CPU
    8 GB RAM

I was wondering if this rig can run 60 FPS on the gridmap, because I cannot figure out how. I’ve seen other people with this same rig run 60 FPS on the gridmap, but I can’t. Can someone help me?

you probably can't, that cpu is mega weak, I doubt it could run a dseries at 60fps in a vacuum.

I had a similar laptop, it sucks. What I got is a msi gf63 thin 9sc. Its a good laptop for $850. But for the long term, I suggest getting something with an i7. and look at benchmarks before assuming a parts power. I thought that a 1650 was more powerful than a 1080 ti, and it has half as much power as a 1080ti.

for a desktop or a laptop? I suggest a desktop, but if you want a laptop, what I said above is my suggestion for it. For a desktop you can find 1080 ti's for cheap, and amd 3700x or 3900x is a good choice. Pc part picker is a helpful website that you can choose parts from.

Do not buy a gaming laptop. They turn into thermal throttling, dust-encrusted paperweights after a year of use. It's not like they're portable, either. They've always got to be plugged into the wall.

Agreed. All possible benefits that it has from being a laptop, are shot away in a blink.

As someone who's been using a gaming laptop for the past 4 years, that's a very accurate statement. I used it for about a year before I had to keep it on a cooling pad and plugged in almost all the time. I had to replace the battery a year later, but it almost didn't matter since I only get around 45 minutes to a charge.

What I've got now is essentially a desktop computer with none of the benefits of an actual desktop and almost none of the benefits of a laptop.
