I bet a lot of you noticed parts only bend and fall off not tear/snap.

I think this would be a Lot more realistic because in real life if you hit something like a
pole and it hit on your front fender it would have a hole in it not just bent most of the time.

Sorry if I had a bad description for the crash.

There's something in the game called deformgroups. Pay close attention to the front fascia of the D15, H-Series or Moonhawk next time you crash it. They do break/snap.
screenshot_00009.jpg The plastic front fascia of the D15 has cracked and broken in several locations after a hard front impact. The rest of the truck has been made transparent to prove the fascia isn't just clipping into the engine bay.

Does the fascia become two different parts then or just one part with invisible broken beams?

From what I can tell from when the fascia on the D15 appeared to be split in two it was acting as one on the ground.
I cannot get a screenshot of this as I can't get the fascia off on purpose, only destroy it. :p

The damage that appears is a bit misleading, but it will eventually begin to act as two separate pieces (albeit long after it's graphically split)

I've never seen any piece act as two. The fascia goes completely invisible or at least nearly invisible and so I can't see it act as two, if it does.

I've personally never seen the D15 fascia split completely, although I've seen some parts of it go all floppy independent of the rest of the structure. I have, however, seen nodes fall off the Moonhawk fascia. You can only see them if you go to debug mode though because deformGroups has made the associated parts of the mesh invisible to prevent tearing.

Okay, I've just crashed the Moonhawk multiple times at 100 MPH into various objects on GridMap. The fascia did not once split into multiple pieces.
It remained one piece but made the broken beams invisible, however, in debug mode the beams were still there and attached to the visible parts of the fascia.
