I have not tested this malfunction with other vehicles, just the new Ibishu Hopper. Whenever I rip the snorkel off of the vehicle, and the snorkel remains unsubmerged, I can completely submerge the vehicle in water without it hydrolocking. If I rip off the snorkel, and put it in the water, and drive around on land, it acts as though nothing is wrong. If the snorkel and the engine are in the water at the same time, then the car will start flooding. Not a big deal but something to point out. 20170414172522_1.jpg 20170414172619_1.jpg 20170414172709_1.jpg 20170414172719_1.jpg 20170414172724_1.jpg 20170414172522_1.jpg 20170414172619_1.jpg 20170414172709_1.jpg 20170414172719_1.jpg 20170414172724_1.jpg 20170414172807_1.jpg 20170414172813_1.jpg

Unfortunately there's no easy way to fix this (it's kind of a conceptual issue) but we'll try to think of something.

Same conceptual issue affects semi, if you manage to rip both fuel tanks off and truck is still driveable, you can drive as long as tanks have fuel left. Maybe it needs distance checked from part nodes to engine nodes or something of such so part could be disabled if it is not present.

I experienced this issue as well. One time the snorkel was still on the beach kicking up sand as I drove underwater. On the other hand I found out that in deep water the pressure will actually affect your tires' inflation, which is pretty cool.

I know next to nothing about development or how this works, but would it be possible to have the snorkel work like exhaust pipes? Both are just flowing gasses, with one flowing into the car and the other flowing out of the car.

I know zilch about development, but maybe it's possible to make it to where if the snorkel is however far away from the vehicle, it "turns off" and the vehicle's Config turned it into a vehicle without the snorkel on. (sorry if it made no sense, like I said, I don't know anything).
