[SOLVED] Uploading files doesn't work properly

I've been away for a while ~3 months and I've noticed that uploading files no longer works properly.
I am using Chrome (51) on Windows 7 64 bit and the problem is that uploaded filed don't appear in the message editor and I can only upload 1 file at a time. At the moment only regular thumbnail-able (.png, jpg, etc) images will upload correctly. But I have to refresh the page for it to show up and be able to insert the thumbnails.
(PS Images demonstrating problem to be added as the problem prevents me from making sure the text and picture part are posted at the same time correctly.)
Firefox 51 works fine tho...
Even IE 9 works...
Just not chrome

I didn't know the uploader was flash
It was always my chrome choosing files
Oh thank you for the drag and drop tip...
I don't see it mentioned anywhere... MAYBE you could add a tooltip or something
