today i got my mom another laptop since hers broke ok i installed windows and installed beamng for lulz
it has a pentuim 1.80 ghz with intel hd 2500 and 4 gb ram
and up my suprise solid 30/40 fps
that shocked me since my laptop is a i5 with intel hd 3000 12 gb ram that struggels to get 30/40 fps
any one got any explaination for this?
the pentuim is from 2013 (ivy bridge) and the i5 is from around 2011 (sandy bridge)
the pentuim laptop was 350$ retail new back in 2013 so iam not quite sure how this thing gets more fps then my higher end rig

Have you checked to see if the power settings are set to 'High performance'?

yes they are on high performance could it be that my i5 is a sandy bridge and the pentuim is a ivy bridge wich is newer and better? also noticed that the pentuim down throttles while my i5 doesnt *yay*

Do you have AIDA64 or anything that you can track the CPU frequency during gameplay?

I had an Asus K43e with I5 2410m that had some kind of bug with the CPU multiplier, everytime I tried to play any game, the CPU went to 800 or 1600mhz (8 or 16x multiplier, can't remember which one)

I was able to "fix" the problem by using the program "throttlestop", but still it wouldn't work all times
