On a car in real life, when the clip (or lock?) on the bottom of the boot lid / tailgate releases, a spring pulls the whole thing up. When the clip takes damage, it usually releases the boot lid as the clip breaks upon collision (a lot more often on older cars).

I'd like to see this available on all cars, except D-Series (those tailgates should just fall down if the joint breaks), H-series (the doors open sideways) and T-series (door opens sideways)
