Steam thinks it's still running...

    When I close BeamNG.drive and unplug my g27, steam still says it's running, and I appear as if I were in game. This only started happenning today, it gets annoying since I have to restart my steam to play again. I checked the Task Manager, and there is no process related to BeamNG.drive when the game is not running.

    Here's how it appears when I am not playing.

    Restarted my pc, this doesn't happen anymore.
    Probably a steam bug.

    Ending the steam process will end any games running relating to it, whether they are open or not.

    This happens to me but only for about 30 seconds then I can click play again.

    BeamNG will be reported as running if the Crash reporter is open. You may have had the window for it open.

    This is very often specific cases, often due to antivirus and similar programs keeping games' processes alive, or games not being closed correctly (although with BeamNG that is usually not a problem). It can happen on any game.

    So, check your AV or anything that resemble one, as well this list: https://wiki.beamng.com/Incompatible_Third_Party_Software

    If repo is downloading mods when you exit, it will keep BeamNG process running until download is completed. That can be reason in some rare cases.

    It also happens if you don't close the internet explorer windows with screenshots that uprn when you upload them.
