Steam trading cards

So I've already gotten like 15 to 20 trading cards in 6 hours playing... a lot of duplicates but... why do I get so many trading cards?

I have 4 trading cards

 

You get half of the cards (rounding up if the total is odd) that you need to complete a badge, generally. Because there are 15 cards to a badge, for BeamNG, you should get 8 cards. Dunno why you'd get that many, though.

 

No I'm not talking about those cards, I mean the... well I know them as 'cards'. You can get duplicates and turn them into gems or something.

 

Since the cards are out I got like 2 or 3 and I played like 100 hours

 

Same here, I've played for 500+ hours total and i only have 7 trading cars???

 

Then I am really lucky, I get nearly 3 a day. Although I am pretty sure everyone commenting still thinks I am talking about the 8 cards where you can only get like 4 from. I mean the game cards, like a card with a police car skin of a regular car...
