I think it would me better if the mods were on steam workshop because if they were updated steam would automatically update the mod there is no need to download the new update plus the download is easier.

IIRC the workshop isn't used so that the staff can moderate the quality of the mods, so for example there aren't people just blatantly stealing mods or uploading mods that don't work

Not going to happen, the mods cannot be regulated as @carlosjr stated, besides the possibility of mod stealing would be larger on there, it would give world of mods a chance to put in bad code into the game and possibly corrupt the system running the system like we have now is a tried and tested system and theres no point changing the system to suit someone elses need, in engineering theres a phrase "If it aint broke dont fix it" and that phrase comes to mind with the Steam Workshop I hope you understand why its a bad idea....before you ask World of Mods steals mods and reuploads them and turns them into exe installers which could hide any number of bad bits of code ready to damage any computer system, every mod here is vetted and checked to make sure nothing is hidden, if a bad mod is found its not put up on the forum only good quality mods are allowed up

If you would had used this beautiful device you would find so many answers to this question!
    @Nadeox1[/USER]]

No, it's not going to happen.

    Steam Workshop doesn't allow for:
    • Moderation
    • Helping Modders
    • Checks
Not to mention Humble Bundle users (that choose to not use Steam) cannot use Steam Workshop!

We have our own system here: http://www.beamng.com/resources/
It is built with similar ideas, but it can have more and more features.
    It does allow for:
    • Moderation
    • Helping Modders
    • Checks
    • Automatic Mod Installation
    • Manual Mod Installation
    And more to come..

One of biggest thing is that nobody controls what an user is upload on the Steam Workshop
Unless they are reported, but then that's too late..
    Our own system instead yes.
All the mods in there are pre-approved by our team (@meywue and @synsol) . We check all the mods before they go public.
If a mod doesn't work, they help the modder on getting things to work out.

That's how you use our system if you do not how:

If you want a definitive answer on this from the workshop itself, just look through the Brick Rigs workshop. There are hundreds, if not thousands of re-uploaded creations and terrible vehicle models slapped out in a few minutes. I most certainly wouldn't want to see that happen to Beam mods.

No, because imagine things like this happening all the time. Here's an example:

And not to mention, there would be hundreds of sloppy 3-minute build cars like I see on the Brick Rigs Workshop all the time like @DriftinCovet1987 mentioned.
