Alright Guys, i've been searching all over for forums in relation to steering angle, i've found one or two but none really explain the full process clearly.

So far i've gotten to the hydros portion of a particular car, made sure i'm editing the right steering setup (drift, in my case) and edited the "factor" portion, usually from a number like .18 to something like .25

I'm currently using notepad++ and have tried with regular notepad, the problem faced with using standard notepad was i couldn't just save over the original file, so i saved to desktop and then just dragged it in to replace the original. sadly this didn't work as planned and my steering angle remained the same, so i looked around more and found a short video for a different edit (steering wheel lock for the g27), in the video notepad++ was used so i guessed regular old notepad probably just wasn't cutting it, so now, using notepad++ i've edited the file but once i save and close the notepad++ document it simply resets back to the stock settings.

can anyone help me out? just a guy in need of more steering angle for dorifto

Which vehicle are you trying to do it for?
You should never save over or replace any game files.

So if you are wanting to change the steering angle on the I Series, the first step is to set up the mod folder. Basically just the suspension file with only the steering part inside a folder named etki, which is then put into a folder named vehicles and then placed inside a zip folder. When finished place the zip into the mods folder.

    Mira_turbo is the zip file
and mods folder is located here

Now with the suspension like i said above, you only need to have part that you want to change in the jbeam, however you must remember to change the file name from etki_suspension_F to something else eg etki_drift_steering so that it doesn't interfere with vanilla content as well as the part name and name of the part.

With the steering file the only variables you need to change are the steering factor and steering wheel lock, I have some custom made files for other vehicles and many others available in my drift steering mod. However they only adjust the stock steering factor to a level just before it deforms parts.

This is an example file for the barstow and it has a variable applied to adjust he steering wheel lock.

    Hope this helps.
