Hello friends, I am currently working on creating a mod and I am having issues with the steering rack. Whenever the front wheels are turned in either direction, toe is added to the following wheel, and toe is also removed from the leading wheel. This is resulting in a weird behaviour when at full lock. Is this due to the beams connecting the tie-rod end, and the sliding rod deforming? This issue started after I changed the factor of the steering hydro from 0.14 to 0.17. This issue also happens without moving the car. If the car is stationary and you turn the wheels this issue happens. Please see the attached images. Initial geo: Turned geo: Returned state geo:
The front wheels toeing out relative to each other are normal as per Ackermann geometry, but you could adjust the X-axis position of the steering knuckle joints that connect to the tie rods to increase or decrease the effect.
