An Idea I've had for a while now. Basically the ability to remove the muffler from the exhaust, as a part. It would be interesting to hear the cars when they are straight piped, specifically, the V8s. The D series could also possibly have an option for the exhaust coming out of a pipe in the front of the bed. I've seen a few people driving around with these cars. While obnoxiously annoying, it just seems fun for Beamng.

You can remove those parts. There just isn't any effect at the moment

Aye, that's what I'm saying. I'd eventually like to see an effect, once the sound is developed a bit more.

although you do say when the sound is developed a bit more, currently the sound would have to be engine specific which it is. What I am saying though is you have to layer on engine sounds "kinda". The way it works is parts can "modify" the sound of the engine, but it has to be engine specific, I tested this with the muffler slot, the muffler had a v8 sound and when I put the muffler on the i6 it swapped it to a v8 sound, so to make this work currently it would need engines/frames (not sure which) to have special slots for each engine aka i4 F4 i6 v8 and so on

I need to work on explaning this
    basically
Every part must be a v8 sound or i6 sound you cannot mix and match
if you swap the muffler for a i6 one it will be a i6 sound vice versa for v8 i4 etc

Aye, I'm getting what you are saying now. I honestly don't know all too much about the current sound setup.

well so far the way it works is the "daughter" parts overwrite the engine/parent sounds, that is what I am experiencing anyway

I may upload files pertaining to it soon for the D-Series
