Stuck in arcade mode for shifting

I like to play with my cars in realistic mode, be they auto or stick shifted. started the game today, and can't change from arcade. The usual header, that allows it doesn't come up and going into direct controls, does not work. Going to direct controls i can change to realistic, but is not recognized. Please help, love the game but refuse to play, when it jumps into reverse without my say. This last update has had more bugs, that I've seen, than a cheap motel.

Clearing the cache got realistic back, but the header is still missing. if removed, OK, but i liked it over going into the controls

 

Try clicking with the mouse on the screen. Happens to me now and then. Can be some overlay messing about. Hope it helps. Dont agree on the bug comment.

 

I have never had an issue with any update, till this last one. Seems every possible bug, has hit me this time around.

Edit: I figured it out, i apparently accidentally removed it from the UI, once reset it works now. You can delete this now, sorry for the trouble . Game is still buggy, but this was my error
