I've been enjoying Beam for a few months on Linux, but I have to launch the game as a "non-steam" shortcut or launch the executable directly. Could it be possible to add a "linux client" channel on the "betas" section of the game properties so that Steam launches the native version instead? As an example, the game Vampire Survivors provides a steamdeck channel, that does exactly this: Instead of launching the game .exe, it launches a native executable.
