Sure there are insanely fast drag cars that can peel the skin off your face, super fast versions of sports cars that take get you around a corner faster than you can say done and more Gforce than a rocket, and the terrifying to drive Bolide but there really isn't a modern super or hyper car in the game. Its shame since it has nearly every other type of car covered.

Any car can tear the skin off your face if you put your face in the right spot.

Use the search bar. The reasons we don't have one has been discussed over and over, and everyone knows many people want one.

TLDR: Currently exotic material deformation is difficult to simulate and necessary electronic systems aren't available in game.

As for the random not important details because I am in a ranty mood:

I believe the Barstow runs high 7's in a quarter mile (can't get any timers working for whatever reason, so I'm not sure what it actually runs). 7's in a quarter mile is respectable, but street legal cars in the 5's aren't unheard of, and compared to not so street legal stuff like door-slammers... Does't seem that impressive looking at the quarter mile time and speed alone.

There is far from every other type of car covered. We have 24 cars in game+planned. 20 are from America or Japan. The remaining 4 are from only two nations. 9 are sedans.

What "electronic systems" are we missing?

Just wondering, what would be the main things necessary to get it into the proper times for a not so street legal 60s muscle car dragster, I mean I'm sure more power would help and the wheelie bar is a bit high but I can't imagine either of those things taking much time off it.

I suppose for a generic supercar we have everything and I was just repeating the answer I've been given before, though we are missing a couple important things for hyper cars. The most advance active aero in game doesn't compare to a lot of modern performance cars, though I'm sure having more active aero systems wouldn't be difficult to add. Active suspension and hybrid systems are the more difficult and equally important issues.

I may as well sneak this in concerning the active aero already in game: can we get user selected modes on the in game active aero, such as off and low downforce? And a filler panel for the SBR4 factory spoiler when the Nomi wing is selected; having the gap is really odd.

Ah ok, none of these are issues with electrical systems, the physics is the more complicated part here.
I don't see any crazy challenges with making the controls for this unless we are talking about "Magic body control" style of active suspension...

I'm not as experienced with this sorta stuff as I wish I was, but the answer I am able to give:

Remember, power to weight ratio and power delivery are the most important things for straight line speed. My first boat only had about 80hp, but it flew due to the fact that it was basically a chunk of fiberglass with a motor strapped to it (set up properly of course, with a nose cone and a jack plate and a good prop. Last week I acquired a 150 with electric trim for her =D ).

The supercharged 6.9L V8 on the Barstow puts out 1518BHP for a power to weight ratio of .9 hp/kg. Because of the separate front subframe, having a highly modified Barstow probably wouldn't be too difficult.

Jeff Lutz's 1969 Camaro use to be a pro-mod car (hence the aerodynamic light weight front end clip and the drag plate spoiler. I hope we get drag plate spoilers and front end clips in game some day...). In its street legal configuration it ran 5.85 at 250.2mph. The Camaro is running an 8.8L V8 with twin 88mm turbos (so many 8's...) that puts out 3500hp in a car that only weighs 1200kg. The power to weight ratio makes the Barstow's look insignificant. Being an ex pro-mod car, that thing probably has a lot of carbon fiber.

His newest car, a bright orange '57 Chevy, is running the same engine set up AFAIK. That car has a lot of steel in its body work still, and retains the factory styling compared to the Camaro (whatever was left of the Camaro at least). Not sure what this one runs in the quarter mile though. That car launches at only 10psi to limit wheel spin.

Most people running 5's prefer even high displacement motors over the turbo set up that Lutz has.

As for not street legal, anything to improve the power. In the next update a large shot of N2O will work to make up some time. Door Slammers/Pro Mods are probably of the most interest. These actually aren't too far from being street legal judging by how easy it was for Lutz to make the Camaro street legal.

You can try searching for some mods. There are a few of them here I believe but if you don't find one here there is always WOM and those other sites, which will almost guarantee a virus or a bad "reskin" of the bolide.
