Hey, so I have a big issue with the suspension of my car. Some nodes completely explode for some reason. It would be really nice if you would help me out
Here’s some info from the MFD discord on how to solve this invase you haven’t seen it(this might not fix the problem since there’s a lot of things that could be causing this but its a good start): Prime directive : FOR ANY JBEAM ISSUE, USE SLOW-MO AND THE DEBUG TOOLS. THE GOAL IS TO FIND EXACTLY WHERE THE ISSUE IS. IF YOU JUST BLINDLY RAISE BEAMSPRING, OR RANDOMLY ADD BEAMS, YOU WILL VERY OFTEN JUST CAUSE OTHER ISSUES. My jbeam vibrates/goes unstable or explodes : -Your jbeam is unstable, reduce beamspring and/or beamdamp, and/or raise node weights. Try to find the exact position of the issue with the stress debug tool. -Reducing the number of beams can also help, since instability is often the result of a specific node being held in place too strongly. --- Post updated --- also from my experience here’s some more stuff i’d check: -Check If all nodes spawn on in the right position(if they don’t this could mean that your slide nodes are unaligned or that they’re straight up broken) - assuming you’ve taken the suspension jbeam from an existing car make sure you properly replaced every node name to the correct one (for example there are some node references in the wheel data section of suspension jbeams that can cause problems if not referenced to the correct nodes) -check what the console says, it could give big clues as to what’s wrong
