Hello everyone! I'm a pretty noobish coder and completely new to modding in general but so far have had good success on a project I've had in mind for quite some time. I'm currently working on a mod that adds a new frame to the D-Series pickup that is modified to allow for the Pre-Runners front suspensions and a custom triangulated rear 4-Link. I've gotten the front 4-Link onto the frame with ease and I have a JBeam setup so the suspension is holding its own weight under the springs and is fully functional. However, the issue I'm currently having is that I cant get the shocks to be mounted where I want them. They seem to completely ignore the node I have set on the frame for mounting to use their own, which is fine for testing purposes but does not sit inside the shock hoop like I want it to so it doesn't look right. As you can imagine changing the node coordinate on the shock itself breaks the suspension itself so I'm not too certain what I'm doing wrong, or how to fix this issue. Here are some photos for reference. The goal would be to get it inside of the hoop, any help is appreciated and I can provide any details necessary.
The shocks won't automatically allign to the node you set for them, you need to manually modify the 3D model
Ok, thats good to know, I'll report back if I have any success! Thank you! --- Post updated --- I tried what you said about editing the model and it worked a bit but the shock is still not in the right place. Here's also what it looks like in blender. It also better represents what I'm trying to do.
Select both suspension parts, press Ctrl + A -> Location, Scale & Rotation (or however it is written in Blender) then export again
