    If you are trying to set up a well balanced suspension for your race, drift, rally, or daily in Beamng.drive or even in real life, I have done some research on the spring - mass - damper system, and there is a certain way to get your shocks to return your wheels to rest position as quickly as possible. It is called Critical Damping, and the formula is as follows:

    D = 2*sqrt(k*m)

    where D is the critical damping in N*s/m, k is the spring constant is N/m, and m is the mass in kg. You can you the weight distribution app in Beamng.drive to tune the front and rear shocks with this formula (Provided you are using adjustable shocks and springs)!

    I used this exact formula to tune the rally version of the Old Pessima, and to my surprise, it handled great not only on gravel and loose surfaces, but also handled very well on asphalt, especially when going flat out!

    Note: Beamng.drive uses N/m/s instead of N*s/m for some reason. They are NOT the same. N/m/s is dimensionally equal to kg/s^3, but N*s/m it dimensionally equal to kg/s. :/
