Okay, so, a few minutes ago I was fiddling with the graphical options and changed the resolution from 1024x778 windowed to 1440x900 (my native res) and changed some stuff in the PostFX menu, and started to run around the Racetrack Island for a few minutes and suddenly my PC just turns black and, well, it just restarts. Didn't see any BSoD, so, well, I don't know what caused it.

I think it may be that the Graphics Card has this option of auto-overclocking when playing games so, maybe that happened and my PSU couldn't catch up... though it should.

    My Specs:
    Intel i5 / 6GB / ATi HD 7770

    Any ideas?

My guess is a GPU crash, you don't get BSoD much with that.

I'd disable the overclocking setting, and update your drivers, that'll probably fix it. :)

EDIT: Could have overheated too? Keep an eye on your temps.

You could by chance be going over the max wattage your power supply actually supports, but I believe you would still get a blue screen if that were to happen.

Yeah, I'll do that and do some test drives. I don't think it overheated I've been checking the temps and they don't go high, also this is the first time that has happened, but then again, BeamNG uses a lot of power than most games I have, even newer ones.

Hmmm, yeah, my PSU has 525 Watts, yeah a rare amount and the card needs minimun 500 sooo.... yes; and It's a new card, good thing I didn't go for the CrossFire.

What PSU do you have exactly?

    That's an issue. :p
Your system should only use ~200w at load. However, OEM PSUs are often horrible. OTOH, it might not be that. What are the amp ratings in the side?

Well, I used to have a CrossFire with 2 HD 5670s, and since they were two I needed around 500 Watts to function, so it is almost the same and I've had this PC for 4 years without any incident like this one.

I don't know mang. I'm planning to get another PSU in the future because I plan to use CrossFire with the 7770 too.

EDIT: I don't remember, gotta open it up again

Go get yourself something like a Corsair CX600. I have the 430 watt version, but it is a good PSU.

Hivemind, I had that one and the CX700 in mind right now, cheking the Amazon prices heh

Well, that's a relief. I'd prefer to think that the PostFX thingy in BeamNG is just bugged right now.
