So I have heard that this game will require a Quad Core CPU paired with a decent GPU to play it with higher graphical settings. I just built a gaming PC and was wondering If this would be enough.

Processor: AMD FX 4170 Black Edition @4.2Ghz (Quad Core)

Graphics card: AMD Gigabyte Radeon HD 7850

    Ram: 8GB G.skill Gaming Ram

I think these are all the specs I need to post. I am not a noob when it comes to PC's. I've been maxing out on most of my games. Bioshock Infinate was around 70FPS on Maxed out settings. GTA 4 Maxed out with 45FPS. I don't need people ripping on my build either. If you have a problem with AMD keep it to yourself. I like both Intel and AMD. AMD is more affordable at this point.

    It's way good enough.

My computer is almost the same as the one Gabe uses, and I could barely play Bioshock Infinite on max

Ok good. I just got a bit worried because I still can't max out RoR. When collisions happen I drop to around 15 FPS. But this is a whole new physics engine so hopefully its better with collisions and such.

Me too, and when I crash two cars the fps drop to 5 and it's completely unplayable. It seems RoR runs better on older computers.

Yeah before my new rig I was playing RoR on a computer I got for free! It was an HP Workstation 4100 from around 2005. I threw a $40 video card in it and it played ok. The car that ran the fastest was the Gavril G2. Then I built my new rig, still with the $40 card, and it was much better. I then bought a $180 video card to play all my games at max. All of them max out EXCEPT RoR. The graphics improved slightly but not too much from before. It was like a FML moment...

I can max out RoR just fine with my computer with great fps at 5640 x 1080 (or something like that). I use three monitors.

I have an Intel CPU though, it might be that since it's CPU intensive.

I have an intel i5 2500k clocked at 4Ghz. I can max out any game like Crysis 3 but not RoR.

Can you crash 2 cars with decent fps?

    I said I don't remember ^^

I don't think I ever crashed 2 cars...because...multiplayer, and there is no point crashing in single player. But I know that really high b/n count vehicles don't make me lag even if I crush them destroying it completely

    Those are my specs: Dell XPS 430 PC - Dell S2309W Monitor - Intel Core Quad Q9550@ 2.83Ghz - 8Gb RAM - 2x AMD Radeon HD3870_X2 1Gb - Win. 7 H.P. - 256GB SSD - 1,5TB HDD

I play in 1920x1080 and RoR runs nicely. I can crash most of the cars without much FPS drop (except on some maps).
Hopefully my specs are good enough to play BeamNG at some nice settings, but I don't bother about it.

ignore the font please.. It's acting weird.

all i have to say to that , is that thats strange, as on my current computer, my cpu is an intel core 2 duo 2.4ghz or something like that, and i have no problem crashing 2 cars, yes its a little laggy, but as low as 15fps, so, be sure to make sure your settings in the rendering system tab has all your more powerfull devices set, and that fxaa or whatever it is is set to off, as thats actually really really intensive and may be causing your fps drop

it would be a pretty daft idea if the devs cannot run their own game, don't you think? While nothing official is out, Gabe's computer is a good benchmark.
