The old GTG mod for Tseries had support for proper shifting layout for semis and proper range/splitter switch function. Could these features be either incorporated into the vanilla game or be added back to the mod?
An Eaton has reverse where first is normally on a road car, then L where 2nd is, then 1st, second, etc. Then after you go through all you flip the range switch and go back to 1st (NOT L) and go through again. The splitter, as the name implies, splits each gear into two with about 500rpm difference between them. The old GTG mod allowed this action as well as allowing sim switches to work in the proper off/on manner --- Post updated --- Never mind, I found a mod which me do an Eaton 18 or even a Spicer with two shifters!
I just set up a new VR PC and steering wheel + shifter with H-switch. Can you tell me what mods you have working with the latest version of BeamNG? (V0.32) Edit: I had this working just fine using existing mods up until v0.32. Now when I try to load in the T65/T75 from the mod it just flies into space and now I'm curious how you've gotten it running.
If the mod trucks are labelled t65 or t75 then it's likely an outdated mod. The new T-series use the labels t82 and t83 The mod which adds eaton-style transmissions to the new truck is this one: https://www.beamng.com/threads/t-series-drivetrain-expansion.95904/
Thanks, I've gotten the mod set up, but I guess I'm not sure how to turn my 5-speed (+reverse) Logitech G29 with two switchers (for hi gear low gear) into a 10, 12, or 18 speed transmission with this T-Series Drivetrain Expansion mod. What settings do you use to gain the extra gears?
