I've been running the tech demo fine, though at low resolutions, on a boot camped Mac Pro running Win XP without any issues. I bought the paid version through Steam, and when I click on run in Steam, the window opens that says "starting program" and then just closes, and that's it, nothing. I realize a bootcamped mac and XP may not be the best choice, but the tech demo runs fine. I have a 512mb Radeon XT1900, quad core Mac Pro 1,1.

If the tech demo runs, is there any reason the paid version shouldn't?

Are you running the experimental branch of the game?

Not sure. I'm at work, and the computer is at home. I bought it last night and downloaded it on Steam, clicked on play. That's as far as I got.

Paid version has changed a lot since the tech demo. With new tech, new plugins, new version of Torque3D, etc. So yes there would be reasons unfortunately.

    XP is officially not supported.

Some people have had issues with steam not launching the game but being able to launch it manually though. Check the game is not already a running process in task manager and if that doesn't work then go to C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common\beamng.drive and manually run beamng.exe

Great - thanks. I'll try running it that way. I saw XP isn't officially supported, but I think there's a good chance of getting it to run somehow.
