After smoothing / shaping the road these random marks happen

lol, i guess instead of hitting the toolbar, you hit the terrain ^^

I can confirm i also have this issue, Its really, really irritating. The only thing you can do is smooth the terrain that messes up and continue fixing things as you go. I cant figure out how to fix it and as far as i can tell im not missing any buttons.

The problem is nearly as bad as trying to paint on terrain uphill. The mouse sensitivity is insanely high while going uphill and very low downhill. The editor has many many issue, i guess we can at least be thankful we at least have one.

    lol no

what I think is that when im smoothing roads on hills is that with the angle im at its possible for the tools effect to also maybe apply though the terrain im actively focused on and make those marks further ahead, i smoothed out all of those marks and only smoothed the terrain from birds eye view and this time it didn't do it

ya for what it is, its very powerful hopefully it gets a little work tho

yeah just be careful, if you are at a sharp angle (as in, you can see far away at a relatively low angle) the cursor (or paintbrush cirgcle) has a chance to jump real quick in a random place. Ill find a random circle indent here and there on a map, but you are correct in using birds eye view, so that the cursor has a square area to play around in. theres no jumping around in straight top down view.

yea , well thankfully that seems to be the case.... there should be a bit better 3rd person camera control so when you're looking birds eye you can pan in all directions

Basically the tools go through the terrain, so only edit in close to birds eye view as stated earlier to stop it from happening.:)
