Anyone ever try and reach the point where the game crashes? I've been playing around with it for a while now, and it seems to have alot of headroom. Below I spawned in a large amount of cars and let them fall. Dosen't seem to glitch in anyway.

This was actually recorded in lossless 4k, just did not feel like having it render for a long time. Any thoughts on this. I'm going to keep increasing the number until it crashes just for fun.
If anyone is intrested in this method of recording, I might create a video tutorial explaining how.

I've reached that point many times...

    Just playing casually...

The game starts to crash with a crash around +230mph, it will crash fairly reliably over 280mph. Crashing with a large number of cars probably just depends on how many cars the CPU can handle

I'm cooking something up as I type this. It's a little step higher then what I originally posted.

    EDIT :
Diden't turn out as good as I wanted it to

    How to crash beam reliably:
    1. Slow physics to 100x
    2. Increase camera speed to 100%
    3. Increase node grabber to 100%
    4. Look directly down from the top of the car
    5. Grab a node from a car's frame
    6. Shift+S to move it blazingly fast
    7. After a second or two, go back in the other direction for twice as long
    8. Keep doing that until crash
    9. Experiment with faster ways

Intresting, but I'm more looking towards crashing with a large amount of cars. I managed to spawn close to 40 cars last night and have them fall on each other, but it took a long time to record.

It all depends on your cpu really. So the number will change depending on that factor. Already been a thread about this in the past but it has been quite some time.

I've got an Intel Q6600. What do you think might happen? I'm ramming a cement truck in there at 100mph.

40 cars driving into a Gavril D Series. Most destructive thing yet.

Well, i think i have a good one:

    1: Load a map
2: Load a vehicule (You can load multiple ones if you want)
    3: Pause physics
    4: Set the sun gravity
5: Teleport the vehicule(s) in the sky
6: Record with the UI Recorder (For ~3 mins)
7: Resume physics (Don't slow down time)
8: When the vehicule(s) touches the ground, quickly hit F7, do that continusly
9: When the message "Instability detected" is here, quickly resume the physics and do again the step 8 until it has been recorded for ~3 minutes (The audio could be glitched!)
    10: Stop recording
11: Open the replay you just did
12: Set the time to x8 faster than real life
13: Watch the replay, if that ends, quickly replay again, do that continusly (Again, the audio could be glitched!)
14: You can see some framerate drops when doing that.

I'm going to have to try that and see what happens lol. On another note, I found the car limit for the game at 65 cars. After that they spawn and they're just non existent. I did make a video with them that I will be uploading shortly.

65 cars being dropped on top of each other.

Hi, I feel that the important question in all this is:
What sort of computer do you have?
Can you please provide the specs and what in-game settings you use? (Graphics etc)

    It is damn impressive. :)

I think you didn't did right, this is what I'm trying to say

As you can see at the end of the video, i get 5-4 fps when replaying in x8 times

How tf can you get 65 cars on a Q6600? On a 6700HQ I can barely get 9 at a playable fps, 65 would crash my game, haxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Just record in slow motion and speed up in post ;)

Wait... if your running in slow motion you can actually spawn more cars? I didn't realize that was a thing... the highest I ever managed in real time before it just wouldn't spawn anymore was 14 cars, but it has been a while since then.

No of course not, that just depends on your memory (both RAM and GPU). But running in slow motion allows you to record with smooth framerates :)

Ahh... gotcha... I am going to have too see what the new limit for me now is as I have upgraded my computer a bit since the last time I have tried... that and the game runs substantially better now as well.

You could pause the physics, then go F11 editor, there you can position vehicle way you want, but also you can shift drag when positioning vehicle and that creates a new copy of the vehicle.

Using that, you can make a lot of copies and placing whatever way you like them.

After that go to play mode, start recording of replay, set slowmotion to 100x and then unpause the physics, that allows you to set everything up nicely and record in slow motion without worries of spawning and attempting to place cars right in slow motion.

But don't pile really many covets on top of each other, then place tank on top of the pile, that will just not work the way you would like to, too many glitches...

yep. For my crash videos i record in x2 speed then speed it up so i can use higher graphics and still have a smooth frame rate.

It was a joke ahahah. I have a Core i7 7800x running @ 4.7GHz right now. The trick I used to have 65 cars and still appear to run smooth is to set your game's maximum fps to 5 and simulation speed to 16x slower, I use fraps and I set it to record at the same framerate so it's not choppy and I have it set to record lossless (usually 1gb/s footage). Usualy I use virtual dub to make 60fps (or higher) out of the 5fps clips. I could make a video tutorial if anyone is intrested.

Does anyone know a way to spawn more the 65 objects? Seems like the game engine can't spawn more the 65 of anything that's considered a vehicle.

I have the settings all maxxed as far as they could go, I also use a Reshade mod.
    My specs are
    Intel Core i7 7800x @ 4.7GHz on water
    3x EVGA 1080ti FTW3 cards
    16gb DDR4 3000 Ram

That's straight up just crashing the game ahahaha. I'm trying to reach the physical limit of cars, which I did at 65. Still pretty cool though, gotta give you that :p

Hey man, I see your a staff member. How come I can't spawn anymore then 65 cars? I really want to do 100 cars. The physics engine has no issues running 65 cars at all.
