when the boost is low the clutch engages at about 60-40% clutch in but as i increase the torque, it engages fully at 80-90% clutch in. i have tried to change the clutch stiffness in the jbeam but nothing seems to make it work right. i need help

Afaik clutch torque is set up to automatically be adjusted to the engine's Power output, that might be what you're seeing.
I also don't think there's a way to adjust it in a regular engine jbeam.

The clutch must be able to handle the engine's max torque, if the engine's max torque is high and its low-RPM torque is very low, then pulling away from a standstill is going to be significantly harder
