I did some tests, and every part almost, is unstable when going nuts with the node grabber. But I have found a compromise, letting the parts be breakable, so before they explode they break and disappear.
That's a downside of low node weight, what I did to solve it in my case was reducing the amount of nodes to have more weight per node, but it's not 100% working and it wouldn't be in your style so breakable sounds better here
Bugfix for the CrashHard Standalone Dummy. - Fixed missing metal part on the dummy head - Added inside of hip joint models + made it able to rotate - Fixed some smoothing on the elbow joints models - Did some more work on the j-beam to make the dummy a bit more stable. All Zip files are updated
i do still believe that the elbow joint has a model issue, compare these pics with eachother Would it be possible to copy the other elbow joint and use it as the other joint?
If the elbow joints have different textures on each side, it's probably what crashhard said. However it shouldn't affect untextured view in blender, so you might be right.
I will see what's can be done, some times the model gets broken when exporting/importing to and from the game. I guess I can se about copying it from the other side.
You shouldn't import and export it every time, a better practice is to just have a blend file of it somewhere, save it every time you make a change, export and replace the one in the mod. This way it won't break when importing because you don't have to import anything.
Yes, I dont usualy import it, but had to do that after I used the texture/painting software the first time (still learning). when I first re textured the dummy. I do save a 3ds max file of my models, and export from there to the game.
I fixed the smoothing problem, the shoulder joints model was all split apart, I welded it all together again, and the smoothing was all nice finally
do you have any plans to make it bundled with the crashhard dummy 2.0 or are you going to keep it separate
wait... so you're telling me this doesn't come with the $4 one? After I paid for it? I feel dumb for not reading the desc, can someone help me out?
The 4$ one is for the the car crashtest dummies, it is more expensive because it is a lot more work, and is still being updated every time a new or remastered car gets added to the game. Where anywhere is it written that it would come with the Standalone dummy as well? The Standalone dummy costs less because it doesn't need to be updated unless it breaks or I want to add anything, it was a lot of work as well with rebuilding and redesigning the Jbeams for a standing and sitting dummy.
