The forced feedback disappears every 5-15 minutes during the game for a moment... what causes the car to fly into the bump, I tried all possible settings and modes, nothing helps. how can I diagnose this problem? PC - 13600kf, Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX DDR5, 32gb, 4090rtx, Semagic alpha U.

I take it no one else has this problem? Should we look for a hardware problem? Usb? Motherboard chipset and so on?

It turns out that the problem is not in the steering base, but in the game itself, I checked the connection of gamepad via usb and bluetooth, when driving on the "East Coast" problem pops up more often than on other maps, after 5-10 minutes of continuous driving, there is a jump in the monitoring graph, which can provoke the loss of FFB, regardless of graphics settings, can anyone check this data? On my graph you can see the frame time jump, it happens absolutely anywhere on the map,

You'll need to check if something on your computer steals focus while playing BeamNG. This lag spike might indicate that could be the case. You can use focus logger to check if anything steals focus.

I don't see anything in focus during the lag... This lag is generated by the game itself.

The frametime spike ("lag") happens because Windows is notifying BeamNG.drive that a device has been disconnected. As a consequence, BeamNG.drive is reinitializing the bindings, to take into account the new list of connected devices. Basically the same as each time you plug or unplug a gamepad, etc.

Based on the logs, I'm unable to tell which exact device has been disconnected when you lose FFB. Please not that "disconnected" does not necessarily mean "disconnected cables", it can often be that the drivers have stopped for some reason, and similar software-only events.

That would be the prime suspect for why you lose FFB:
    - Either something essential to the wheel stops working, and leads to the FFB side of your wheel stopping. Could be anything from slightly loose cables, PSU spikes, all the way to software issues, or stwheel firmware issues, etc. I would advice that you note down the hour/minute/second when your issue happens, and then you launch Windows Event Viewer, and search around for anything that happened roughtly in that timestamp, to see if it gives you any clue.
    - Or a bug in Windows, or DirectInput, or the wheel drivers, or the wheel firmware. As far as BeamNG.drive is concerned, all the operations related to FFB setup are working fine after that disconnection event: the drivers report that things are fine, and that we've managed to connect to the ffb system of the wheel, with zero reported errors. So maybe BeamNG.drive is being lied to when it's told "everything is fine". This sounds extremely similar to the aforementioned bug in GameInput, which started being rolled out to Windows users last year. If you haven't tried the workaround I linked to in my previous post, then please, do as instructed and try it, since this has been a known common problem leading people to lose FFB, no matter the steering wheel brand.

I did all of the above, disabled and deleted everything I can, there is not a single clue in the windows event viewer, all solved by reinstalling the system and disabling updates, the flight is normal, I will observe, thank you for your attention.

Do you happen to have other steering wheels, and if so, did you compare the behaviour of one vs the other? To figure out whether it's a OS-specific problem (regardless of the wheel), or if this is a wheel-specific problem (having broken drivers in win11, in which case you should let the manufacturer know a problem exists, so that they can fix it).

Unfortunately no, but I have a Microsoft Xbox One S wireless gamepad with feedback, I get the exact same glitch with it, so the problem is not the steering wheel...

I found the cause of this strange behavior) the thing is that I have a mouse "logitech g403 wireless" and after some time of inactivity it falls asleep, which provokes nowhere registered connection failure, and after waking up) but for some reason this happens only in 23h2, in 22h2 with this problem is not, and only in “Beamng drive”, it remains to find the service that is responsible for this misunderstanding) hopefully someday this will be useful to someone)
