The future of Campaign and Light Runner modes?

There have been no new campaigns since 0.11 update (Driver's training is now a mission) and Light runner hasn't seen any updates since it was added in 0.14 (furthermore, Bolide remaster didn't even bring back the powerglow configuration). So what's gonna happen with these two modes? Is career mode and missions gonna replace campaign entirely in the future?

Guess the campaign might be superseded by career mode? As for Lightrunner I think it's abandoned.
