I've been a fan of beamng ever since I saw the first youtube video long before the game came out, and ever since I saw the Gavril Grand Marshall, I always thought to myself, "That design, it seems like I've seen it somewhere, but where?" I never found the answer, but always had a suspicion, that Is until tonight. There is this extremely obscure movie called Hot Wheels World Race, it came out in 2003, and I watched it a ton when I was a kid, I still have the Vhs somewhere, anyway, I saw a video on youtube of the movie in its entirety, and when I watched the first few minutes, my suspicions were forever put to rest. The Gavril grand marshall is Vert Wheeler's Dad's car confirmed

Okay, so you are telling us that the grand marshal is based on a car from an obscure kids movie from 13 years ago and not only that, a car that seems like it wouldnt have even had that much screen time? Rather than being inspired by cars such as the crown vic and grand marquise which not only look similar but one has a similar name? Yeah... I'd say that seems reasonable.

I dont think this is the "Grand Marshall" look at it its just the front it looks more like a 90s buick in the movie and a 90s ford or mercury rom the 90s.

Uh, alright. But... this is a damn CARTOON, so obviously the creators have used some car as a prototype to draw and make ideas from. It's been possibly taken from Ford Crown Vic from 90's, especially 1995 one as GM was (also '00 one), perhaps.
Just don't be that caviller about things, especially about cartoons without any real and official signed license to use real cars.

I think its pretty close. He probably understands that its coincidence, but posted this as kind of a joke. Theyre obvs both based off of the same common car, of course theyre going to look alike.

It looks fairly similar, but most sedans from that era do. It looks more like a Crown Vic than the Grand Marshall.

It is more a coincidence then an effort, because I don't think that the Devs would sit down and say 'hey, let's design our new sedan off of something from a 2003 movie for kids with terrible animation' then watched a minute and said 'right there, the ugly green car, let's make that' and then model what we know as the GM which doesn't look a lot like that car...

    But hey... Stay TunedTM

The Grand Marshal does look very similar to that car from that Hot Wheels movie.

However, I think the Grand Marshal looks a lot like the second generation Mercury Grand Marquis, in particular the 1992 model. Plus, the name of the two cars is similar = Grand Marquis | Grand Marshal

With a grille very reminiscent of the Buick Roadmaster. I also think the body of the Grand Marshal has a few design cues from the Roadmaster as well.

I would say these two cars may have inspired Gabester when he was working on the Grand Marshal.
