i mean, this guy got it in game so that's somewhat an accomplishment ig, but……did you actually forget to autosmooth??
ah, so autosmooth is basically a thing in blender that makes the shading look less weird, as the vanilla cars are made in 3DSMAX and that software treats edges and corners slightly differently this may help you https://documentation.beamng.com/modding/modelling/vehicle_modeling/
thank you i did not know there is already a mod i will change it --- Post updated --- thx! i will try fixing it!
thanks for letting me know! --- Post updated --- so, i followed the advice and i tried putting autosmooth from 45 to 60 and none of them worked it always looked like this
Click on a part in blender, click on the spanner icon on the right, and add the edge split modifier, go on another part and do the same until it looks normal, and when you export the dae tick apply modifiers in geometry
i have added it 2 times on 50 degrees is that enough ot too much? and nothing really changed in blender
You need to do it on every part with weird shading, I usually dont touch the degrees but its up to you if you do
i have applied it to every part --- Post updated --- i deleted the second one with the 50 degrees --- Post updated ---
To apply it to all the parts at once, you need to press A to select all the parts, then to auto smooth them, hold ALT and apply auto smoothing. 45 degrees should be enough Hope this helps you
