The in-game mod downloader doesn't work properly

So, this started happening since the previous-previous update (0.22).
The thing is that when I use the in-game repository, and suscribe to a new mod, it's not downloaded automatically. I mean, I get subscribed to the mod, but nothing else happens.
In order to download the mod I have to go to the Mod Manager tab, click 'Update all mods' and the game recognizes that there's a mod that i'm subscribed but that I don't have it in my mods folder, so now in this step i am able to hit download in the mod.

I thought there was a problem with my game folder or something, but since the latest update (0.23) wasn't working with my current mods, I started fresh and the problem still persists.
