This is more of a usability issue but it seems every time I go away for a while and come back and try to work on something the level editor is even more broken and un usable the problem is the common user wouldn't have issues with importing models and having the collision being offset even though in the modeling software it's centered or the when you open the shape editor for the first time it prompts you to save changes and if you don't beamng crashes, random issues that shouldn't be happening, listen this is a hobby I don't sit at my computer all day working on maps.
I understand that the game has other higher priorities but this is just off putting.
I can deal with errors but this is getting out of hand, I make one wrong move and it's a crash.
Also it's 50/50 if I import a model it will work as intended or be broken as in having no collision or the textures decide to mess up and I can assure it's not my fault as if I where to import the same model in different sessions sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I can't help feel like I shouldn't be trying to make maps with the game is this condition because it's just not really in a state for modding.
The editor is borderline unusable and I hate to admit it but i'm starting to go in circles doing the same thing over and over in a pointless attempt to fix something until I find some obscure work around that by messing around until it works.
I try to keep most of the mapping outside of beamng itself because of how limited and cumbersome the editor is.
I basically am starting just to build the whole map outside of beamng itself and just importing it, I want to leave as little of the process in the editor as possible.
Now it's not really the teams fault but I think to some degree its just the fact that it would most likely break the game to upgrade to the latest version of the engine which would be illogical just to fix the editor.
Sorry for the negativity but it's been getting under my skin and the editors been really slowing me down.

All objects origin must be at 0,0,0, with Loc/Rot/Scale applied.
    Has always been like that.

The 50/50 part is very very vague. Sounds like a problem on your model/side to be honest.
I'm constantly exporting/importing objects, and never experienced that problem?
Where is your map located? The editor works best when all your stuff is in the game's directory (rather than the userfolder)

It works fine for me. Are you sure you're importing models correctly? Are they from a 3d program, or from other levels? If they're from other levels, you're gonna have to set them up to make them work.

I was ranting when I posted this last night gonna delete this thread as it was an error on my side.
the issue with the editor being unstable is still a thing though.
