Hello

I've been playing and enjoying BeamNG for a day now and from my observasions the cars seem to be very strong so i did a comparison to see.

Front Crash Test of the pickup at 40 mph (100% front crash)

50% front crash at 40mph added as it seems more comparable to the videoes (This is slowmo 0.60% if i remember correctly)

Same test for a real F150 2001 model at 40mph

    Ford Ranger

Ofcourse this is not the same model, but from my point of view it seems all the real cars suffer more damage than the simulated car does.

There is a youtube video in which they crash a renault laguna into a tree at 55 mph, and I did the exact same thing with the grand marshal, and the damage was exactly the same. So I don't agree with that.

It might be hard to reproduce accurately, but can you make a video and upload for comparison? Then we can all have a look at it

The test is not the same in the three cases. Notice you are crashing into the wall with the whole front of your car, which distributes the damage much more than the examples you put, where the cars crash with only one side, causing much more damage.

I'm not sure if you noticed or not but the video of Gabster's D-Series pickup was a direct frontal impact. The second video of the 2001 F150 most of the impact was on the left side of the vehicle as well as the Ranger (right side). That makes a huge difference, there is less surface area hitting the crash barrier so of course its going to suffer more damage.

    That's just my two cents

This type of crash test is called a "frontal offset crash test". It's where instead of crashing into a flat wall like OP is doing in his own video, you crash into a corner with some offset from the center so the damage is focused on that smaller area of the car, causing many times the damage than it would've gotten with a flat frontal crash. That's why the damage seems much more severe in the real life crash test videos than in the Drive video the OP posted.

I honestly suck at explaining things, but this should be understandable...

Also Nyan2Fast4U, I'm not directing this at you, I'm just further explaining your post.

I understand what you guys mean, new video made:)
    Thanks for the input.

If you look on the wheel damage and cabin damage i still think it is a tidy little bit to strong.
Please help me make more accurate videoes by recording yourself if you disagree with the representation video.
