It has been anounced that the new NFS will be released in Autum. It will be the last NFS of the series. I like they put every feature from Undergroun 1 & 2 Rival , The run etc. There will be a HUGE amount of Tuning-parts and hopefully a great story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybZ5nchDm6o The Trailer
Honestly...I am excited about this! If this is really a reboot in nfsu style, I'll be all over this. But we have to wait and see what the gameplay actually looks like. Btw. I don't think this will be the last one. Do you have any source for that statement?
We need plastic bumpers, big mufflers, neons, hydraulics, shiny paint and magazine cover shooting. No rice equals no good NFS.
It looks kinda like NFS Carbon, that wasn't too bad of a NFS but I am hoping for NFS UG2 customization!
Need for Speed started out as a realistic game with supercars and cops and not a ricey (that was the car scene back then though) arcade racer..
That's what they say they will, whatever that means. At the same time they are describing it as an reboot to Underground/Most Wanted. It CAN be good, if it's true they've gotten their head out of their asses. They will have spent 2 years on this game compared to 1 year with all the other latest NFS games that didn't live up to the name. And in reply to whether they're gonna stick to a 2 year cycle we get no clear answer other than "can not comment on that at this point". So... I actually think this heavily lies on EA, whether or not they're gonna give them the space and time to actualy make a good game. The game itself looks stunning, the customization looks really good and should be very deep. They want to make a story line that really drag you into the game. There will be drifting, drag, street race. The game opts to capture the car culture authentically, whatever that means. Which means, the game will take place at night, like we saw when Underground hit the surface (source). This makes it even more likely we'll see a game similar to Underground (source). Want more?: Check out this for pictures and said teaser video (trailer is coming June 15 (just in case you thought the video in this thread was actually the trailer ) ). Check out this interview with developer. Interview with Speedhunters here. So yeah, this can go either way, I'm on the fence. I CAN become a great game, it CAN be a disappointment. I mean, they've got a certain bar they need to go over to pull this off.
What we know so far beg to differ. I would be surprised if we didn't see several Hondas. And very disappointed, because I too love Hondas. Or do you have a source on this?
If I'm not wrong, Honda/Acura don't want their cars in the game that has cops. NFSU has Hondas, but in NFSMW and Carbon doesn't And I'm also a fan of Hondas
Oh, right, shit. Interesting. We'll have to pray to the god of car games (which totally exists)! Seriously, we need Hondas! Civic, S2000, NSX...
Looks like Carbon and Most Wanted had a baby with the looks of the most recent one. Also, PC. I'm actually excited for a game.
Took the words right outta' my mouth! I bought the very first NFS and the machine that played it (3DO) back in 1994. Back then that game was merely to show what 32 bit graphics could do along with the first mainstream game to my knowledge that had realistic vehicle collision and regular AI traffic. Making that van roll over into my opponent for the first time was an incredible experience. After NFS 3 I lost all interest. Long live old school.
They posted this on their twitter account Customization, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, an immersive narrative - welcome home #NFS fans
yusss.. the first game to have me begging for a computer upgrade for christmas I managed to stay into it until Porsche Unleashed, haven't played one since.
I justed watched a video about a guy who was invited as a guest to Gohst games. He was able to play the new NFS and he said that the Graphics on the PS4 have almost no difference to the trailer SOO be exited
