I've been trying to make one single car mod for beamng for 4+ years now, and there's literally nothing on the internet that simply tells you what you should do to get something done and why, or at least a web on what you need to learn and how. I'm so confused and I shouldn't be Can someone help? I have so many great ideas I want to share with the community and I also thing learning how to model in 3D will be good for my career. sorry that I'm crap at explaining... :/
If you want to start modding, know that a vehicle is the 'peak' in terms of difficulty. You maybe want to familiarize with how things work with something simple like a skin or parts for an existing vehicle. There are tutorials, you just need to find them. I already grouped most of them in a sticky thread in the 'Content Creation' section: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tutorials-index-list-of-useful-guides.51454/ The Wiki portal also has more highlighted. Because making a vehicle is an extremely lenghty process, and depends a lot on the vehicle you want to make, you will not find 10-minutes video tutorial or similar in regards.
I think easiest starting point is making some objects for maps, I wrote some tips how to start here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tips-for-noob-mods.61878/
so i want to take the suspension from one mod and add it to a official vehicle but i dont know how any advice?
Start by reading nodes section from this document https://wiki.beamng.com/JBeam_Introduction you will need to understand nodes and beams, how to make node/beam skeleton, how node weight and beamspring values work etc. before you can find out what is needed to make such suspension swap.
