So I made the Deo faster. So me, @Inn0centJok3r and @TheKraken put our heads together to form BeamNGs fastest non-rocket-powered car. It features a very refined design with a crap ton of detail and work put into it. There are ~100+ parts that can detach from it. We worked 8 days on this car now! Other than literally every other high power Automation car, This doesnt use a Twin Turbo V12. Instead we went for something way more stylish. A Supercharged Flatplane V8 that sounds like a Ferrari with a Supercharger. The engine Revs to 9200rpm and outputs 3679 Horsepower. A total of 14(!) gears keep it accelerating. Ive edited a lot of files of the car in order to achive its unbelieavable speed of 9555km/h (5934mph). It has broken the Sound barrier 7 times. AND it is really controlable! the chance of losing control in this car are...0%. You literally can spin out once your are faster than 400-500km/h. It does have speed wobbles at ~1600km/h, but even those arent dangerous as the car simply keeps itself contained. You dont even need to steer! The wheels and suspension have been buffed up...A LOT in order to support the speed! Before they would literally have exploded at ~850km/h. Go into the Parts selector!! You can apply a 4000kw shot of NOS there! _________________________________________________________________ We havent actually talked about its name... Its called the 10K Deo Volente. 'Deo Volente' translates into 'God willing'. ________________________________________________________________ You might be surprised to read that this car actually handles like a god too! The short lap around Hirochi Raceway is done in 55 Seconds. That is only 5 seconds slower than the FR16... The 1/4 mile run is done in 6.660 seconds!! ______________________________________________________________________ Here some pictures: _________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________ The car also Features an edited light setup! _______________________________________________________________________ More photos. Also its impossible to flip it over with it own grip. Trust me. Together with my Eurohawk Also, dont forget about the Eurohawk! It is the car that started this whole insane speed battle! https://www.beamng.com/resources/dlmc-proto-gr001-eurohawk.6734/ Download link to the Deo Volente: https://www.beamng.com/resources/10k-deo-volente-the-fastest-automation-car.7248/ It also features a lot more info than all other Automation cars ^^ View attachment 514301 View attachment 514302 WARNING: Once you have driven this car, everything else you drive afterwards will feel horribly slow. Speed is not matter for the Deo Volente. So, what do you think about BeamNGs fastest non-rocket-powered car?
was working on my own automation car, trying to get 600mph in a straight line (without wandering all over the place) and maintain great handling with downforce in the corners. however, it seems you've beat me to it and also topped me! how do you get the car to be stable at the high speeds?
Well the secret is: downforce! You need a ton of it. For the best stability i would recommend to get the front downforce slider all the way to the top so you have like 500+kg of downforce there. Get the rear to about that too. If the car doesnt handle well enough, you can go into the cars mein Jbeam file and edit the rear wings stall angle which untimately determines the cars rear downforce. You find the rear wing on the very bottom of the file code. There should be something called 'efixture_wing56' or something like that. If you raise the stall angle value, you increase downforce. I recommend to only edit the second number behind the 0 as that increases it in reasonable scale. --- Post updated --- Well here you go. There are some instuctions in the cars information, when you select it in the vehicle selector.
i've not messed with the downforce in automation, just set it to where it's balanced and starts creating it around 124mph, then multiplied both values by around 10 in the jbeam file. it handles pretty good, but just can't go high speeds without wobbling. increasing downforce makes it wobble violently, often lifting a wheel or two off the ground, and decreasing it makes it wander and float across the ground. is there a sweet spot? or did i just mess up somewhere else...
Well here you go. There are some instuctions in the cars inf you probably have WAY too much downforce on the rear. Multiplying the value by 10 is just creating ridiculous amounts of downforce. You are probably creating more than 1 or 2 tonnes of downforce with that value. You can only really edit the rear wings downforce in the JBeam file. (Because the wings that are shown in the file are the wing fixtures you throw on it. If you would put a wing fixture on the front you could also edit the downforce of that. But I don’t know where you would find the data of all other fixtures that create downforce
i have front downforce. i believe the lift from the front and rear wings are actually just tied to the body's jbeam, and is not affected when you tear off a wing or so. right now, i have lots of downforce, front and rear.
Warning: dont look at it too closely. Yesterday I joked about cars going 1500km/h... Now theres this. And yes, it now has NOS. It can bump up power to 7700hp... Im gonna tone it a bit down ok?
NEW UPDATE INCOMING! The Deo Volente has basically doubled it speed! It can now go 2781km/h (1721mph). Thats Mach 2.26... Its faster than almost any plane! This has got to be the fastest car in BeamNG. Another great thing: NOS! You can now add a 10 or 3000kw shot of almost endless Nos to your car. You can apply it in the vehicle config. The 3000kw shot can bump up HP to 7700hp! Above that, The info file has been updated and some parts of the car have been renamed so they now show up as what they should in the config menu. WARNING: Car handles like garbage below 250km/h! Be careful with throttle. Tires blow at top speed. Thats the only thing keeping it at 2700km/h... DO NOT USE 3000KW SHOT OF NOS ABOVE 2500km/h (1555mph)!!! The tires will blow strough stress!!
I gotta see if this car is even drivable on a controller, I doubt anyone is mad enough to keep the NOS shot going...
You will be surprised: It is dead straight. Uhh once you are faster than 1400km/h. If you use below that it can lead to: Insane wheelspin at 0-500km/h Insane torque steer at 0-1200km/h (it has 9900nm with nos) Exessive, but not dangerous speedwobbles at 900-1300km/h Exessive stress to tires causing them to blow at 2520km/h Only when using 3000KW of NOS. Its making 7700hp then. When not using NOS, the car makes 3679hp and its only issues are: Low controlability below 250km/h Wheelspin from 0-350km/h Very minor speedwobbles at 900-1200km/h
That needs to be addressed firstly, it needs to be predictable no moments of this car thinking about putting you into the wall at 500kph, I feel it requires suspension work and maybe looking at how the handling is effected, from what I see there it is unpredictable at the lower speeds
The thing is, the suspension is not the issue. Its the tires. My editing to make them go 2000+km/h somehow deflated them. Even if I put the original values back in, the tires still are deflated. O dont know hopw to fix this but I will do it as soon as I know. Rasing tire pressure doesnt work. And what doesnt make any sense is that I basically only made things stiffer and not softer, to make it go that fast.
I have the same issue, it seems that increasing the tyre structural strength values also makes the tyres a lot more solid (makes sense) but unfortunately this means that there is less grip and the tires almost act like solid metal contacting the ground. When I put the values to high they started sparking!
