hello, so i've been playing beamng ever since 0.11 and back then the game was great and it just kept improving but. After a certain point. this game just died for me, performance dropped (i assume because of the ui update thing) and then, most importantly my cars started having dots and squares on it. you may have seen it in some other threads and ever since then it hasn't improved, i used to get 30-60 fps but now i get 10-25 fps and, again, the dots and stuff. I had high hopes for this game. and it all came crashing down, i've seen moved to RoR. keep updating the game like normal of course but give the people with low end specs a chance! We can't play like this!
This game is much more optimized than people give it credit for. You have to be using a spectacularly shitty machine to be getting 10-25 fps and graphical errors.
where were u wen beamng was kil i was at house playing game on potato when devblog post "beang graphics is update" no
Exactly, the graphics of BeamNG.Drive are really good and the devs have put a lot of effort into it =D Also, the guy said he used to get 30 fps or so, but now he doesn't.
How "low end" is your PC, exactly? Up until not too long ago my friend was running BeamNG with a Core 2 Quad Q6600, a CPU from 13 years ago.. it ran BeamNG actually impressively well, and the game has been getting more and more optimized with each update. Like mentioned above, you would have to have a spectacularly shitty computer to get that low of a framerate. If you've started getting graphical glitches like you mentioned (dots and squares on your car), have you considered the possibility that your graphics card may be on it's way out?
Exactly, the dude's graphic card is probably on it's way out by now and I'm sure his computer isn't doing very well.
no other games i own have these issues, only beamng. also specs are intel core i7 3rd gen 2 core 1.9ghz, 4GB DDR3 RAM and intel hd 4000 --- Post updated --- also the game started losing performance in 0.16 and it kept getting worse from them (somehow cuz every other update improved performance)
I think I have an intel core i5 7th Gen. I don't know anymore about my computer specs though. Anyways, my computer runs BeamNG just fine =)
Unless you're other games consist of tetris and solitaire, I highly doubt you can play games smoothly. You need at least 8 GB of ram nowadays, integrated graphics is probably what's holding you back the most.... but RAM and CPU are also very weak (unless your CPU can turbo for extended periods of time). Grab a cheap dedicated GPU, it'll probably help a ton. Also, the integrated GPU will be using some of your RAM up, and considering how cheap DDR3 ram is, get some more.
I mean if you know your PC is low spec, why get a game that relies heavily on physics and has pretty detailed graphics? Not trying to be rude, I just don't get the logic behind that.
well you see, im fine with old games 2013 or older i can run fine. but, laptop so thats kinda not pog so no gpus or ram and stuff --- Post updated --- low spec gamers take what they can. as long as it's 30 fps or higher im fine with it
honestly i'll just have to be fine with RoR for the time i have this potato, which will be a long time cuz my financial situation aint the best but i no none of you give a flying care about that --- Post updated --- btw speaking of that i know this probably isnt the right place, is there a mod similar to the FR17 in RoR? just asking
I'm sorry that you don't have the best financial situation right now. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you that you can get your computer fixed soon =) FR17? I have that mod right now.
No, it's understandable. It's kinda unfair that high-quality gaming PCs are so friggin expensive. My laptop cost at least a good $1000 and it has good performance and graphics but quite awful storage and cooling (my wall gets hot every time and it goes into jet mode every time I play a game). If I want the real good s**t, I have to pay twice, sometimes three times, that price. That's why I plan to get a summer job or something, even though I doubt I can make 2,000 from mowing my neighbors' tiny lawns or anything like that.
I had a friend build mine and my parents payed for half, but I did a lot of chores for my half, so I understand. Good luck =)
