Time trial vehicle selecting issue

If you are in a time trial and you want to change the layout, map or vehicle, the vehicle you selected spawns in immidiatly if you select a car, go back because it doesn't have a good setup, and then select another car and press select vehicle. This is pretty annoying because i usually check multiple different vehicles before making a choice. (also, the mods didn't effect anything because my friend had the exact same issue when i asked him to try it on his pc)
