I've been tying to figure out how to add a differential but I'm not sure which file it is that I need to modify. I'm looking to add a differential with adjustable final drive to the D-Series. I've been using a mod (that I'll link below) adding a 18L Ford V8 and the lowrst geared existing differential only allow me to reach about 110mph, while pulling like a freight train through all 10 speeds from another unknown mod. Thank you in advance!

In Documents\BeamNG.drive\vehicles\ you need to create folder pickup if it does not exist already, then in that pickup folder you need to make file named by your choice, for example AdjustableDiffForPickup.jbeam

Then you add your diff there, you can look file attached or even base your diff on that, I did made only open diff so that you can practice making your own with locking or limited slip features.

Thanks for the help! I think I have messed up some part of the file. When I go into a map to try it out, it doesn't spawn the default truck, the camera is detached from any object in an arbitrary position, and I can't manually spawn a D-Series vehicle of any kind. I can spawn other vehicles however. All quotes and brackets are closed. I tried looking for an example of a fully adjustable limited slip diff to see what I did wrong, but couldn't find one. Could you find an example so I can find what I did wrong? Please and thank you!

Have you looked error messages from console? It opens with ` key, one that is left from number 1 of your keyboard, that is with US keyboard layout.

Usually that tells something what is at fault, but sometimes it can be hard to tell. There should not be red text, if there is post screenshot here so we can have a go at guessing.

There was red text, though its difficult for me to read. I feel kind of stupid for not remembering the console was there. I hit the button for it enough times on accident. Screenshot should be attached.

Under closer inspection it appears it says "JSON decoding error: lua/common/json.lua:/4: Invalid input near line 16"
Line 16 being the line for the forward lock coefficient under variables.

There are some examples, which might help to diagnose what is the problem:
    https://wiki.beamng.com/Differential

Or then you can attach file here so we can examine what might be an issue with that line.

File's down below. I used the wiki pages as a reference but the examples given used fixed values so i did what i thought looked right. I still have the original file so i renamed this one as to not confuse them. I'm sure there's a noobish mistake in there somewhere

You have to have 0, so it has to be 0.5 instead of .5
