I think that beam NG drive should integrate tire chains to all stock vehicle tires that would add grip on ice and also at height speeds shake the car to pieces
Tire chains would be interesting but probably difficult to imploment because nothing colides with the tires except for the ground so the chains would just kinda fall to the floor.
Well just having a lot of people working on something doesnt mean it automatically becomes possible to do. Look at cancer "cures"
They could always fake it. Just make tires with the properties of chained tires and modify the tire model to include the chains but retain it's original jbeam structure. Since tires already deform a bit the chains could be made to look pretty convincing without any impact on game performance, and without the need to fundamentally modify how tires work in this game. Actually jbeaming them would quickly get ridiculous if they did it properly, and the payoff would be imperfect performance with lots of glitches/streaching and a drastic increase in N/B count. Take a look at these bad boys. Trying to make each chain jbeamed enough to react accurately to stimuli while maintaining independence from the tire AND providing a good simulation of what they're supposed to do would be a nightmare. If they're put on properly they shouldn't move much anyway.
It might be possible..... But it would have to be scripted at this point in development and the chains a mesh... Jbeaming those chains would kill the game's preformance. The T75 kills alot of PC's.... This would be almost worse if the chains were a Jbeam over the wheels. It will be awhile before this would be possible as a Jbeam.
