Tire Smoke Behavior Guide

    Step one

    Start BeamNG and put it in windowed mode.


    step two

    Open a map and press F11 on you'r keyboard.


    Step three

    Go to the
    particle editor.

    Step four
    Change emitter dropdown to : BNGP_20

    Step Five
    In the tab above press Particle.

    Step Six
    Change the following values

    Life : 9000 (if you are lagging after going trough this guide decrese this value)
    Initial speed: 0,1
    Gravity: -0.1
    Spin speed : 0.083

    Colors

    1.
    Color : white.
    alpha : 0.075

    2.
    Color : white.
    alpha : 0.165354

    3.
    Color : white.
    alpha : 0.0944882

    4.
    Color : white.
    alpha : 0


    Step Seven
    Press the save button

    Step eight
    Download this particles.json (particles.zip)(This can be pretty taxing for you'r pc)

    Put it in
    C:\Users\Conputername\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\lua

    Remember to backup the original file

    Awesome! So much better for drifting (on-purpose or otherwise).

    Do you know how one would go about saving this across all of BeamNG? When I restart or change maps, it seems to revert back to the normal values.

    Yes, if you look (when editing) at the top right corner, there is a floppy disk icon, that is the save button, sorry i forgot to say that in the tutoral

    Thanks!

    My problem was not pressing the enter key after putting the values in their respective boxes. I don't think it likes it if you tab to the next box for whatever reason.

    Anyway, awesome tutorial!
