tires that can seperate from a wheel

    I think it would be cool if tires could become completely separate from the rim of a car.

    heres an example of what I mean

    Currently its impossible to do pretty much, adding any more nodes to the wheel would cause either massive instability or unrealistically high wheel total weight. Currently wheels are basically on the edge of stability.

    Yes that would be pretty cool, but would be a lot more cpu intensive with the extra nodes and beams for the tires and the rims, and all the coltris that would interact with the tire and the rim as well. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, because I love ideas like this, but I dont see it happening.

    would be nice, but as stated low end PCs would likely struggle with it, I'd be just fine if tires had wear, I'd love to be racing for awhile and all of a sudden a tire goes out and I'm sent straight towards a wall
