Topology of the model (or whatever it's called)

    Does the topology of the model imported into the physics engine need to be clean for it to work properly?

    The physics are not based on the model. They're based off of a completely seperate 'skeleton' of nodes and beams between the nodes. However, when modeling, you should always make the topology as clean as possible, to make sure the vehicle looks nice. Especially shading and reflections can get very ugly if the topology of your model is messy.

    And it's good to see a new person on the forums who actually knows what topology on a 3d model means... It's so painful when people have no clue whatsoever what you mean when you're trying to explain to them how the polygons should flow with the shape of the car, rather than being, like, diagonally spread across a door or something...
