I've seen some interest pop up, so I'm going to post the first challenge. Remember to trace your layout on gmap-pedometer and post the link here. All the micro-nations of Europe are getting jealous of little ol’ Monaco getting all the attention. So, they’ve gotten together and, with the blessing of Bernie, have decided to create a new European Gran Prix. Your task is to create a new street circuit, not unlike Monaco, within the micro-nation of San Marino. The Google Map Lat/Long coords are 43.940783N, 12.448784E in case you have trouble finding it. Some simple rules, really: 1) The entire circuit must remain within the principality and not enter Italy in any way. 2) Most of the roads are quite narrow, so ignore this. Monaco doesn’t seem to have a problem with it anyways. As long as you have roughly 3 lanes of traffic you’ll be fine. 3) Don’t worry about finding a pit lane / paddock yet. We’ll find a street market or something to close for the weekend. 4) You're free to design a purpose-built section of the track, but keep it to a minimum for budget reasons. 54) Total track length shall be 3.5 – 5.0km (strictly enforced!) Have fun! I’ll be announcing the winner early next week! --- Post updated --- @Shotgun Chuck @amarks240 If this challenge isn't fun we can make it more interesting.
