Hell yes. Want. - - - Updated - - - But I think I remember seeing before that they couldn't get the licensing for it? Or was that for RoR, cause it was open source?
I believe it tracks the movement of your head (via webcam) and moves the camera in-game (simulating your head movement). I tried getting something similar setup on Arma2 for flying, but it never worked correctly. <-- i may be wrong
TrackIR is an infrared clip you put on your headset, a webcam that has an infrared filter on it, and software. It costs $200+. It tracks your head movement. I, of course, did not pay such a premium... I have built my own clip, filtered my own webcam, and have found some open-source point tracking software. It works better than the official TrackIR stuff, and cost me less than $10 in parts.
I posted on TrackIR forum, they replied that they now have contacted Beamng devs, and that we shouldreach out to them here is the link. I will also post that in my other thread. https://forums.naturalpoint.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=13614&e=0
I want to get a TrackIR headset, it would give the game another dimension. I hear it's not currently supported in game, so good work Hideki2! Will buy one as soon as it's supported Just got myself a Logitech wheel/pedals/gear stick set and I'm loving it. Can't believe I didn't invest in one sooner, doesn't compare to playing with an X-Box controller!
