Great work on figuring out the interior Dashboard setup I might go in and edit it to create a UK spec dashboard but that will be for my use only, I doubt you would permit me to post the edited files here
Ah, it's only the SOHC motor, I can see what you where making with it, I was hoping for the DOHC 1.5 to create something similar to the Caterham 310, with the firespitting small engine with power to match the entry level 2.0 but at a much more aggressive level of tune.
I standardized the naming of all components and slots. There were like 4 prefixes before and some parts and slots using names from other cars. I might have broken some things in the process, but most included variants should be fine. If front plates is the only thing that got broken I'll call that a win.
I am just working on to see if I can do either an else If statement to get 3 gauge cluster groups to work or I may have to resort to a Case statement to see if I can get UK, US and Metric to work nicely Seems its more difficult than I first thought, the code works for switching the dashboard but I get no data on the screen it comes up with the code itself showing up which is weird.... its like as if nothing shows up and you dont get the "BORK" message you get the {data} message instead....I am just saying but I know I shouldnt mess around with it too much, enjoy it like it is and then make tweaks later on
hey, came to let you know i've added turbos for the 1500 engine in my intakes mod: https://www.beamng.com/resources/intakes.3339/update?update=19405
Now you have some work to do if you wanna keep being my bestie lol https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3927836
Nice job, they looks pretty great. I'll probably upscale them a tad and make some wheels that I'll glue on there, but they look pretty good.
First off, may I say I LOVE IT!!! I always wanted a real Lotus/Caterham Seven but never got the chance (and now can't afford one). This is a great alternative. Since I think analog gauges are on your to-do list, I won't mention it again, but how about a DCT tranny? The way I throw these things around, it's nice to not have to try and shift gears too but an automatic just doesn't seem right. Oh, Levante V8 version maybe? Just a thought. Great job!
That is sexy, fast, and fun. Like... uh... the rest of the mod, I guess. Props for a great mod! This is easily my most used mod, due to the smol boi size, the thing can absolutely tear anything within 20 feet ahead of it to shreds with absolutely nothing when it comes to engine block size, which is always a plus. This game needed a ̶C̶a̶t̶e̶r̶h̶a̶m̶ ultralight track car to mess around with. My only criticism is that there are no full liveries (a Martini racing livery would be a dream come true), but the stripes that we have are still nice, and this should only be taken as a little bonus thingy if you feel like adding on to the mod. A meme'd version (absurd), like a 1500 bhp drag version, would also be pretty dank. Again, epic mod, my dude. Mad props to you for your excellent ̶C̶a̶t̶e̶r̶h̶a̶m̶ ultralight.
Too light, driveshaft ease to broke, but the fun part is to drive and crash it :v Can i suggest something, could you make twin exhaust, just like the Westfield?
Weight is similar to the modern Caterhams. There are dozens of ways to make a seven clone, so they have all sorts of different weights, depending on frame and body material, drivetrain, etc. I might look into making the central driveshaft a tad more durable, so it doesn't break as easily in front end crashes. And twin exhausts are pointless for the 4 cylinder, and I've already said why I'd prefer not to add twin bank engines earlier in the thread.
This means the game is running into issues loading the car and just falls back to the default car. Since I don't have that issue and you're the first person to report it, it's probably something on your end. Are you running the latest version of the game? If you're running an old version for compatibility reasons that might be why. If you're running current version, I'd try temporarily removing all mods but this one and see if that fixes it. There's also the good ol' clearing of cache.
