Traffic trying to reverse

Why is it basically every time I respawn my car when I have traffic on, some of the traffic cars start getting stuck trying to go in reverse?

 

there isn't a fix atm because the ai are pretty stupid and it's pretty low priority

AI is still on development, so yeah, expect someone just brake test you and reverse onto you

 

I mean, people do that in real life on the highways lol
So realistic right?

 

Actually, my understanding was that the AI are a lot smarter now than they were before. At least that's what I heard about v.0.17 and forward.

So is this a new set back that people are talking about? Or is it simply a wish-- that even the most improved behavior of AI-- would be even better?
