I've been designing and making a node grabber free version of trailer straps. Rather than wrapping around a a vehicle or holding its tires down. This extends 'spikes' into the bottom of your cargo holding it in place that way. They are very effective at keeping cars from shifting forward or back and sliding off the sides in impacts. However higher ground clearance vehicles are more susceptible to rolling off. I countered this design flaw with adding an extension length multiplier allowing you to extend the spikes up to 3x taller. This can even handle heavy vehicles like the t-series or md-series as cargo, they can be tuned to break at certain points with the strength multiplier in the tuning tab. They are toggles with a single key and only require you to get the cargo or vehicle into place. I believe this is an excellent work around instead of using the node grabber. You can unload your cargo in a single press as well. Onto the issues: - Sometimes while extending they can lift the vehicle they are trying to secure. This can be mediated by shifting your load then trying again. - While the cargo is secured and on the trailer, it may be secure, but due to how this works, it can also deform or damage the undercarriage of cars and even break exhausts or oilpans. This can only be mediated with gentle driving. I will add them to rollback version of the t-series and other vehicles if specifically requested. I have only added it to my custom 18ft flatbed upfit on the t-series. I would love to hear your overall thoughts, and wants. I plan to finish up the material then I'll post a demo or full mod file. Onto da pictures (some are from early development and have a different model or texture):
