I wanna say beforehand, I am not what you call core audience and this type of content is probably not what you think of when you play BeamNG, but hear me out. 1: This game is known for its amazingly detailed destruction of cars in a crash. Other than that this CORE mechanic is not integrated into the gameplay much, which is a shame and waste, honestly. -Have some paths, maybe optional paths, be filled with props like metal barrels so car type and it's stability + accumulating small misstakes can be more of a consideration in the grand sheme. -Exotic but fun: Countermeasures, f.e. unloading your trunk in a race and releasing debree onto the road 2. Playables -Fluid big open maps -Freeroaming accross the countryside with agile offroaders. Currently there are no offroaders for this type of (suicidal) offroading. It doesn't matter if my car breaks down after some uncalculateable jump because there was a small rock at the wrong place randomly, but if it happens so often that skill doesn't make much of a difference anyway, then it becomes discouraging enough not to try this type of gameplay style. Design cars around the neck breaking jumps and careless driving you observe players do in other games [Credit: Rockstar games] https://imgur.com/a/kBqQG0K 3. Materials -Its so easy to just say and demand this, Diverse and realistic offroad ground materials . Dirt Rally solves grass and gravel remarkably. -Damaged and inperfect asphalt, f.e. an abandoned road in a forest will have tons of roots growing under it In general, this game is more of a simulator, but if you let your mind wander and think how to still implement the classically arcady ideas it can be so much more - and extend the simulator core idea without sacrifising any aspects of it.
