Unsolved Transmission mod only works if I drop it in the common.zip

I've created a Borg Warner T19 transmission for the D-Series, I cannot get it to show up in game if I zip it up as a new mod and place it in the mod folder. However if I open the common.zip and drop the transmission jbeam in the vehicles/common folder, it works perfectly. I've spent hours searching around and haven't figured it out, any idea what I'm doing wrong? Mod is attached.

 

Pack it in t19.zip/vehicles/common/pickup/pickup_trans.jbeam and it works from the mods folder. Common/pickup/ shares many parts with the Roamer so the T19 trans works also in it.

 

Doing it that way doesn't work for me either. I have other 3rd party mods in my mod folder that work fine, so I know I'm putting the mod in the right place. Pretty stumped here.

Here's the kicker, if I copy an existing mod zip, delete everything in it and drop in my mod folders/file, it works. So something is going wrong when I'm creating the zip, I've tried doing it with windows and WinRAR, neither works.

Then try to pack it in-game, Repository -> Mods manager.

 

That also does not work for me.

 

If you can't unpack and pack any mods using the the mod manager, then try to verify your game files in the launcher or in Steam. If that won't fix it, the last resort is to clean reinstall the game.
